About

Ubunye Sangoma Priesthood Training School & Ancestral Healing Ministry offers traditional learning for spirit transformation. We were established in the spirit realm for many moons. Our teachings have been passed down through our African Ancestral & Black American Lineage. Although the founder has been providing spiritual work for more than 30 years, in 2016, with all that was taking place in the world, her ancestors said it was time to put the spiritual training in a more formal format in order to fulfill a spiritual need of those born and raised in the western culture. People are awakening to a deeper spiritual connection with their healing powers and traditional healers are more needed to help them navigate this powerful healing energy. Awakening is often a confusing time filled with many questions, concerns and sometimes uncertainty. The transition to this new way of being can be extremely difficult especially when people live in a western oriented culture and society that does not support most traditional healing of black people, spiritual awakenings or callings. It can be even more difficult when one does not have access to the proper spiritual channels, proper guidance and is not connected to or supported by a teacher or a spiritual family that has already gone through these rites of passages.

We are very much aware that individuals who are experiencing this awakening in the western world, in the diaspora and in urban regions, may not be prepared to travel great distances to other countries, leave home for extended periods of time or take a chance with someone whom may not be easily accessible. We are clear this spiritual birthing is a delicate time and that a person going through this spiritual journey should have minimal concerns during their process.

We are here to dispel the thought that your “guru” is in some far off place living in the great great beyond and you have to seek him or her out. The guru/ teacher can be found in the hood, in urban regions, in rural areas, but mainly within in you. We are here to help you navigate this shift into your higher consciousness. We want your journey to be as sacred and as healing as possible. We are here to serve as a guide to help you in accessing your divine spirits, create a more dynamic relationship with your ancestors and to gain deeper knowledge of who you are within your destiny. We will do this with love, with integrity, with honor and within the protocols of our elevated divine ancestral lineage of our spiritual court, sacred elders and healers.

The instructor of Ubunye Sangoma has many years of study, initiations and practice within several healing paths. Any instructor that teaches is committed to the mission of the school and only teach after having gone through at least one Traditional African initiation, training and healing system with Ubunye Sangoma or our within our temple Nyame’s Ile Amadlozi , prior to the school’s official opening.

Each instructor brings with them unique and special gifts from their ancestry, divine spirits and personal healing journey. Everyone teaches a course they have knowledge of, are experienced in and have a great deal desire for and are committed to. We collectively feel honored and blessed to be chosen to become teachers of Ubunye Sangoma Traditional Learning for Spirit Transformation and look forward to sharing this journey with you. We are forever growing and learning on this path.
